I captured this image of this cow in a pasture near my home in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area - and not in a rural area either! I was taken by surprise as I drove on a road and saw a pasture of several cows and knew I had to get out and photograph them. I'm not a farm girl so I don't even know what kind of cow this is, but I have learned that they are usually timid when someone they aren't familiar with approaches. This one must have been of a more curious nature because it stood its ground and stared me down - note that there was a barbed wire fence between me and the cow. I just love the long eyelashes and the other details of her face and just have to wonder what she was thinking about me and that she was willing to pose for my camera!
