Description
I love the light coming through the small window in the door illuminating the dark hallway. This image was created in Drayton Hall, an 18th-century plantation located on the Ashley River about 15 miles northwest of Charleston, South Carolina. Named by the owner, Thomas Drayton who arrived in South Carolina from Barbados aboard the ship Mary in 1679. This image was made in the basement focusing on a a door that would have been used by the slaves living and working on the plantation.
